Welcome
Hi, I'm Matt,
I specialize in furniture CAD drafting. Working with private clients, commercial projects, and interior designers, I create detailed CAD drawings ranging from client sign-off presentations to full workshop drawings.

Where Creativity Meets Design
Welcome to GouldBespoke Designs.

At GouldBespoke, I believe exceptional craftsmanship begins with exceptional planning. Every project is underpinned by a meticulously developed design, thoughtfully refined and fully approved before a single piece of timber is cut. This considered approach ensures precision, elegance, and enduring quality—particularly invaluable for small and specialist manufacturers.

My Story
I bring over two decades of cabinetmaking expertise, combined with more than ten years of experience using CAD in both design and workshop environments. This unique blend of hands-on craftsmanship and technical precision allows me to bridge the gap between creative vision and flawless execution.
My journey with furniture began in 2001, when I completed three years of Fine Furniture Making, studying both traditional and contemporary furniture design. I achieved a Level 4 City & Guilds qualification, building a strong foundation in design, craftsmanship, and materials.
Following this, I spent 12 years producing mid- to high-end fitted furniture, primarily kitchens, but also wardrobes, boot rooms, and the occasional library. This period was instrumental in developing my understanding of how fitted furniture should be designed not only to achieve the best possible end product, but also to ensure that manufacturing and installation are as efficient as possible. I strongly believe this is best achieved when the designer, or someone within the design team, has direct experience of making furniture.
I later took a short break from full-time furniture making, continuing to produce some work from home. During this time, I taught myself AutoCAD, mainly through online resources such as YouTube, and developed my skills to a competent, professional level through regular practice.
In 2022, I returned to furniture making with a small local business, where my AutoCAD skills are now used daily. I produce all CAD drawings for the workshop, supporting every project from concept through to manufacture.
Our work ranges from contemporary fitted and freestanding furniture to traditional replicas, including dining tables, chairs, wardrobes, and four-poster beds—each presenting its own unique design and technical challenges.
Creative Vision
With my knowledge and experience in cabinetmaking, I can help clients design truly beautiful pieces of furniture—while also anticipating and resolving potential manufacturing challenges before the plans ever reach the workshop.
